The latest.

I finally figured out where all our photo's were stored on my computer (because Jeremy showed me) so I can update the blog. Not a whole lot is different from the last time I posted. Jeremy's just working and slaving away making a 5 octave marimba. But the end is finally in sight. It took a little longer than expected to complete but we should finish up next week. We've both been working on it lately and that helps speed it up. Now we just have to decide if we want to take on more. We've had an order of 16 four octave marimbas and although it represents a good chuck of money it also represents a huge amount of time. They will be a simpler design so it won't be as much work as the 5 octave. But we are getting excited to not have to stay up until 1am working on the marimba when we finish next week. So I'm not sure I'm as excited to build the 16 marimbas. Anyways, not sure what's going to happen with that yet.

Here's a photo. We've completed a little bit more then in this photo. We've plugged all the screw holes and done the final sanding. We shaped the end piece and put the sander seal on all the wood. Now we just have to poly coat the frame and paint the resonators and finish oiling the bars and we are done! I'll post a photo once it's all completed.

And here's the kids (who take up most of my time and I'm glad for that; they are so fun right now!)

Aiden likes to clean. He's showing me the pot he cleaned.

Our sweet Tessa getting so big!

I thought this was funny. Tessa tied up her doll.

Tessa didn't want me to take a photo of her. HeHe

They look so sweet when they are sleeping!

Now here is out trip to Park City. A musician friend of Jeremy's started the Orion Music Festival in Park City and one of the benefits for us is a free stay at Hotel Park City. This is our second year going. We got to stay in their 'Cottages'. These room are like $1500 a night! Something we'd never pay for even if we had the money! But they are nice rooms. Tessa said to me once we got home that she wants our house to look like that hotel room. Sure, who wouldn't?!!

Here's the shower for '3'. Probably could of fit one more person in there.

Here's the living room area with a fireplace and flat screen.

The dining area and private balcony with a hot tub.

Here's the bedroom with a king sized bed.

The view from our window.

Aiden chilling in bed.

Last year Jeremy said he wanted to make a marimba for himself. So he did and then he showed it off at a percussion festival for high school students and teachers. Then people wanted to buy them. So the one we are making now is for a college student and the other 16 are for a school district. Some other people interested are advanced students of the marimba, and private marimba teachers.
